About PLCH

I started dolling around November 2006. My earlier efforts were amusingly bad (although I do think I've gotten worse at dolling jeans,) but I enjoyed laughing at how awful I was. Then, round-about Christmas, I got a tablet laptop. The tablet enabled me to Photoshop with more precision, and I produced my first decent doll in January. I joined The Gathering in mid-March and began posting my dolls, getting critiqued and slowly improving.

But anyway, enough reminiscing. PLCH was founded on June 19, 2007, with an impressively crappy CSS-less iframe layout. Click the picture to see it in all its questionable glory. It was a mess to update and totally unorganized in terms of folders and stuff, but it was a start. I think I've kept the code around somewhere for sentimental reasons, as it was the first layout I'd ever completed and I still think the header looks pretty good.

Then I went on a hiatus because I'm lazy to completely dismantle the site and put up the last layout, which I was quite fond of but was kind of badly coded. I still liked it, though, but it made it a lot harder to fix up this layout.
